Muscat, 18 September 2021 (TDI): In a meeting between the Health Minister of Oman and The Director-General of the World Health Organisation (WHO), the latter lauded Oman’s efforts to tackle Covid-19.
The epidemiological situation in Oman was discussed by Dr. Ahmed bin Muhammad Al Saidi, Minister of Health, and Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director-General of WHO in the meeting. Oman has been diligently working at the government level, to counter the challenges imposed by the Covid-19.
The Director-General of WHO commended Oman on its efforts to create societal awareness against the threat. He directed for developing a comprehensive mechanism consistent with the recommendations of WHO.
