Norwegian Ambassador’s Visit to Lahore

Lahore: June 26, 2021-(TDI) Norway Ambassador to Pakistan Kjell-Gunnar Eriksen is currently on a visit to Lahore. During his visit, he will be meeting many government officials and will visit many places and institutes.
Earlier, the Ambassador met Kamran Lashari Director-General Walled City of Lahore Authority. Ambassador Eriksen, along with him, visited Lahore fort. DG Kamran Lashari gave him a tour of the ongoing conversion process of Shah Burj Complex. The Aga Khan Cultural Services team showed him the restoration picture of the work. The honorable ambassador also inaugurated restored Sheesh Mahal Attic Chambers.
The Ambassador also visited Lahore Chambers of Commerce and Industry. Both the parties talked about improvement in the trade and energy sector. In the meeting, the Norwegian ambassador said that Norway is the largest foreign investor in Pakistan. However, there is room for more investment if the government eases foreign investors. Tahir Mahmood Chaudary, Vice president of Lahore Chambers of Commerce and Industry, appreciated Norway’s support and investment in Pakistan. He also mentioned the Special Economic Zone under CPEC. He requested him to play a role in informing Norwegian companies. In the end, Vice-president Tahir Mahmood also presents him tokens of appreciation.
Today, Ambassador Kjell-Gunnar Eriksen also visited Kinnaird College for Women. Students from the art department showed him their work. Ambassador appreciated the students’ work.  He took to Twitter and thanked Principal Rukhsana David, staff member, and students of Kinnaird College.
