Taraba state, 16 September 2021 (TDI): Nigeria and the Democratic Republic of Congo DRC have engaged in relations by establishing a national fire service. The Federal Fire Service (FFS) of Nigeria, Ibrahim Liman, serving as a Controller-General (FFS), has given details about the deal during the courtesy visit.
The Controller General FFS Ibrahim Liman discussed during the visit while responding to the Democratic Republic of Congo’s request for Nigerian firefighting equipment. Meanwhile, Nigeria responded positively to the DRC request. The request for the firefighter equipment became necessary for DRC due to the dexterous equipment and services. The performance and responding behavior of the organization are also considered as the most respondent in Africa.
While appreciating the effectiveness of Nigerian FFS equipment capacity, Controller-General Ibrahim Liman also acknowledged that it well suits to help due to its equipment and well-trained personnel to the Congo. Controller-General also mentioned that the service would carry out the challenges, like life safety guarantee and citizens’ property, and disasters. Ibrahim Liman also said that President Mohammad Buhari, the federal government of Nigeria, has also approved N10.4 billion for the new equipment purchase.
