Islamabad, 2 February 2024 (TDI): Newly designated Ambassadors of Italy, Mongolia, and Russia formally presented their credentials to the President of Pakistan, Dr. Arif Alvi. The credentials presentation ceremony was held at Aiwan e Sadr in Islamabad on Thursday.
The President while talking to the Ambassadors-designates of Russia, Italy, and Mongolia, who has separately called on him to present their diplomatic credentials, welcomed the Ambassadors to Pakistan and extended warm wishes to them for a productive tour of their duties.
During the ceremony, the President of Pakistan urged the need of further expanding trade, economic, cultural, and people to people relations with Russia, Italy, and Mongolia.
In addition, he mentioned that Pakistan offered immense investment opportunities for foreign investors. Foreign investors should benefit from Pakistan’s business-friendly environment by investing in various sectors of its economy.
Ambassador of Russia
While speaking to the Ambassador-designate of the Russian Federation to Pakistan, Albert Khorev, the President expressed Pakistan’s desire to further strengthen bilateral relations with Russia specially in the areas of trade, economy, tourism, and culture.
Moreover, the President also hoped that the new Ambassador would further play his part in promoting bilateral relations between Pakistan and Russia.
Ambassador of Italy
Talking to the Ambassador-designate of Italy to Pakistan, Marilina Armellin, the President highlighted the need to further enhance bilateral trade between Pakistan and Italy.
The President said that Italian investors should benefit from the investment opportunities under the Special Investment Facilitation Council in various sectors.
Furthermore, he underscored that the Pakistani diaspora in Italy was playing a significant role in the development of Italy and was acting as a bridge between the two countries. He also asked the ambassador to help in expediting the issuance of visas to Pakistani students.

Ambassador of Mongolia
Lastly, during the interaction with the non-resident Ambassador of Mongolia to Pakistan, Tuvvshin Badra, President Alvi said that both countries needed to further promote, trade, economic, and cultural relations for the mutual benefit of the two sides.
The President congratulated the newly appointed envoys and expressed the hope that they would play their role in further improving bilateral ties with Pakistan.
