Muscat (TDI): Senior diplomat Naveed Safdar Bokhari has arrived in Muscat to assume charge as Pakistan’s new Ambassador to Oman.
He was warmly received by senior officials of Oman’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and officials from Pakistan Embassy in Muscat.
“Honored to assume my responsibilities as Pakistan’s Ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman. Looking forward to working with my team to further strengthen Pakistan-Oman fraternal relations in a comprehensive manner and serving the Pakistani community in Oman,” Bokhari said in a statement on X.
Pakistan and Oman share a long-standing and friendly relationship, characterized by strong diplomatic, economic and cultural ties.
The two countries enjoy mutual respect, cooperation and support in various sectors.

Oman is an important partner for Pakistan in the Gulf region.
The two countries engage in significant trade, especially in sectors like oil, gas and agriculture.
