Namibia’s founding president penned a letter to China

Windhoek: 28 July 2021 (TDI):  The Founding President of Namibia Sam Nujoma penned down a letter to China in appreciation for the Chinese medical team working in Namibia.

The founding president termed China as an ‘all-weather friend’ and appreciated the efforts of the Chinese medical team. He mentioned that the letter is to applaud the Chinese medical team for providing service to Namibia in the past 18 months. He extended his appreciation to the government of China as well as the Health Commission of Zhejiang province for sending medical teams to Namibia over the years.

Nujoma while praising the 13th batch of the Chinese medical team to Namibia, mentioned that in the medical team he saw highly compatible and passionate workers who practiced their profession honestly and served many Namibians including himself and his wife for the past 18 months.

Wu Peng, Director-General of Department of African Affairs MFA China mentioned that the team treated almost 7000+ patients in Namibia in the past few months.
