Namibia receives doses of vaccines: UNICEF Namibia

Windhoek, 11 September 2021 (TDI): On Friday, Namibia received 40,800 doses of AstraZeneca COVID-19 through the COVAX facility. UNICEF has provided the COVID-19 Vaccines to defeat COVID-19, the global pandemic.

These doses of AstraZeneca will support the ongoing vaccination campaign against COVID-19, added UNICEF Namibia. This shipment which the Namibian government received through the global COVAX facility brings the total number of doses to 108,000.

Moreover, UNICEF urges the government of Namibia to ensure equal access and distribution of vaccines to the people of Namibia. COVID-19 has changed the human map of the entire world, Namibia is one of the countries that are affected too, so in this regard, UNICEF provided the vaccines to eradicate the deadly virus and safeguard the world against new variants available in a fatal manner.
