Budapest, 7 December 2021 (TDI): Moroccan Foreign Minister, Nasser Bourita paid an official visit to Budapest, Hungary. He met with the Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Peter Szijjarto, Polish Foreign Minister, Zbigniew Rau, and the Czech Republic’s Foreign Minister, Jakub Kulhanek.
Further, Minister Bourita will attend the first meeting of Visegrád Group+ Morocco on Tuesday. The meeting will establish a political dialogue between the Kingdom of Morocco and the member countries of the Visegrád Group.
The focus of the meeting is regional affairs in the Middle East and North Africa, migration, terrorism, European Union (EU) & Morroco relations, as well as group development projects.
Moroccan Foreign Minister meeting with Hungarian Foreign Minister
Moroccan Foreign Minister held a meeting with the Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs. Both officials aimed to strengthen bilateral cooperation and explore new areas of common interest. Likewise, they pledged to enhance trade and economic relations between the two countries.

Further, Minister Szijjarto praised Moroccan efforts for regional stability and development in the continent. Besides, the Hungarian Minister reaffirmed Hungary’s support for the Sahara conflict under the United Nations.
Moreover, he declared that Morocco is the EU’s strategic partner, and it has played a critical role against illegal immigration and terrorism.
Moroccan Foreign Minister’s Meeting with the Czech Republic’s Foreign Minister
During the visit to Hungary, the Moroccan Foreign Minister held a meeting with the Czech Republic’s Foreign Minister, Jakub Kulhanek. Furthermore, they discussed various issues, mainly terrorism and illegal migration.
They also talked about bilateral business opportunities between the two countries and pledged to enhance cooperation in the economic, health, and defense sectors. Besides, Minister Jakub Kulhanek expressed pleasure to meet with the Moroccan Foreign Minister.
Moroccan Foreign Minister’s Meeting with Polish Foreign Minister
Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita also met with the Polish Foreign Minister. Both discussed bilateral relations between Poland and Morocco. Moreover, both focused on the economic, political and cultural, and scientific dimensions of cooperation between two countries.
