Moldovan Cargo Makes Emergency Landing in Karachi

ISLAMABAD (TDI): On Friday, a Boeing aircraft travelling from Dhaka to Baku had to make an emergency landing in Karachi because of a technical fault.

According to reports FlyPro Airlines flight FP 5202, a cargo plane en route from Dhaka to Baku, met a technical malfunction while over Indian airspace.

The issue persisted as the aircraft entered Pakistani airspace, prompting the pilot to contact Karachi air traffic control.

After receiving permission, the flight was rerouted and made an emergency landing at Jinnah International Airport at 2:45 AM due to a fuel shortage. The aircraft remains at the airport for inspection.

Moldovan Cargo Emergency Landing 

In another incident, a Sharjah to Dhaka flight was forced to make an emergency landing in Karachi after a 42-year-old passenger passed away mid-flight.

Medical personnel confirmed the death, and the plane resumed its journey two hours later with the body onboard.

On Tuesday, Qatar Airways Flight QR 932, bound for the Philippines, experienced engine failure at 39,000 feet and made an emergency landing in Karachi. The aircraft landed safely, and passengers were moved to the lounge for further inspection.

Additionally, an Ethiopian Airlines cargo flight, ET 3644, was diverted to Karachi after failing to land in Ahmedabad. The plane landed safely and continued its journey later.

These recent events highlight the critical role of Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport in managing emergency situations and ensuring the safety of passengers.
