Islamabad (TDI): Albert P. Khorev, Russian Ambassador to Pakistan, presented a Memento of Appreciation to Member of the National Assembly Sehar Kamran, in recognition of her contributions to strengthening the Pakistan-Russia ties.
The recognition was made at a ceremony organized at the Embassy of the Russia here in Islamabad.
Sehar Kamran’s strong engagement with Russia has significantly strengthened bilateral relations, as reflected in her active participations in key forums such as the Sochi Forum, SCO and BRICS Women Congress in Novosibirsk, the Eurasian Women Forum in St. Petersburg, the Moscow Nuclear Conference, and the Kazan Forum, the envoy acknowledged.
In recognition of her efforts to strengthen bilateral ties, Sehar Kamran was honoured with the “Award of Cooperation” by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2018.
A former senator from 2012 to 2018, MNA Sehar Kamran is renowned for her philanthropic work, contributions to education and social causes, and her role in promoting Pakistan-Saudi relations, which earned her Pakistan’s prestigious award, “Tamgha-e-Imtiaz.”

A senior Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader, Sehar Kamran also heads the Centre for Pakistan and Gulf Studies as patron-in-chief.
She has also authored several works, including Rationalism and Wisdom of King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and published research on topics “Pakistan and Gulf Relations,” “Pak-Saudi Relations,” and “Pakistan and Russia Relations: An Overview.”
