Davos/Islamabad (TDI): Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb met with Chairman Saudi National Bank Saeed bin Mohammad Al Ghamdi in Davos on Tuesday.
During the meeting, The Finance Minister briefed the Chairman on Pakistan’s recent economic progress and the country’s improved international financial ratings.
The two dignitaries discussed potential avenues for enhanced financial cooperation between Pakistan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with a particular focus on strengthening collaboration in the banking sector.

Both sides expressed their commitment to deepening economic ties for mutual benefit.
Minister calls on MFA of Tunisia
Meanwhile, Aurangzeb, had an informal tete-a-tete with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tunisia, Mohamed Ali Nafti, on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting.
The brief interaction focused on fostering bilateral relations and exploring avenues of mutual interest between Pakistan and Tunisia. Both sides expressed their willingness to strengthen cooperation in various sectors.
Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb had left for the Swiss city of Davos on Monday to attend the World Economic Forum (WEF) annual meeting 2025.
Earlier a press statement had said that he will hold meetings with political, trade, and business leaders from various countries and international organisations.

He will address various sessions, providing clarity on the economic landscape of the country.
The minister was also scheduled to meet with the ministers of Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Qatar, a statement issued by the Finance Ministry noted.
