Islamabad, 11 August 2021 (TDI): Shah Mahmood Qureshi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan hosted a meeting with the President of the National Assembly of Niger, Seyni Oumarou, and his parliamentary delegation, on August 10, 2021.
In the meeting, Minister Qureshi made it clear that Pakistan wants to promote cooperation and peace with African countries that also include Niger, especially in economy and trade. He pointed out that cooperation on both sides between the countries on all international forums is worthwhile. Bilateral cooperation between the two countries can already be seen in the United Nations. He encouraged parliamentary ties between the two countries. Both leaders were glad to welcome the Parliamentary Cooperation Agreement between Pakistan and Niger. Lastly, the President of the Niger National Assembly thanked Pakistan’s assistance in difficult times and acknowledged its leadership in this regard.
