Beijing (TDI): Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif marked a productive second day of her official visit to China, engaging with top officials of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and strengthening bilateral ties.
The day began with her visit to the CPC International Department, where she was warmly received by Minister Liu Jianchao.
During the meeting with Minister CPC International Department, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz expressed her gratitude for the gracious welcome and lauded the visionary leadership of the Communist Party of China.
She highlighted China’s remarkable rise as a global power under its astute leadership, emphasizing the pivotal role of the CPC in fostering strong Pakistan-China relations.

“China’s leadership has guided the nation’s transformation into a global power, a journey that offers invaluable lessons for Pakistan,” she remarked.
The Chief Minister underscored the unshakeable bond between the two nations, calling Pakistan-China friendship “as strong as steel and tested through time.”
She further reiterated that the strategic partnership remains resilient against regional and global challenges.
Focusing on areas of mutual cooperation, Maryam Nawaz emphasized leveraging China’s expertise in local governance, rural development, and vocational training.
She called for enhanced collaboration in youth empowerment and capacity building.

“We deeply value China’s contributions to youth empowerment and aim to learn from its innovative programs,” she stated.
Cultural and people-to-people exchanges were also a central theme.
The Chief Minister highlighted the legacy of the ancient Silk Road as a symbol of the two nations’ historical ties and reaffirmed her commitment to fostering sustainable cultural initiatives between Punjab and China.
Minister Liu Jianchao appreciated Maryam Nawaz’s visit and expressed his support for further deepening ties between the CPC and Pakistan.
He acknowledged the enduring nature of Pakistan-China relations, describing them as a model of regional and international cooperation.
