Maldivian Foreign Minister meets officials in Serbia

Belgrade, 12 October 2021 (TDI): Maldivian Foreign Minister, Abdulla Shahid meets various officials in Belgrade. These meetings took place on his official visit to Serbia. He is also an elected President of the United Nations General Assembly.

Moreover, Abdulla Shahid met with the Prime Minister of Serbia, Ana Brnabic. He expressed his deepest gratitude for Serbia’s generosity in donating over a million doses of covid vaccines for countries in Africa and Asia.

The official also had a meeting with Serbian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikola Selaković. He thanked Minister Selaković for the generous hospitality. Abdulla Shahid mentioned Serbia is his first destination in Europe as the President of UNGA. He showed gratitude for the warm welcome.

Abdulla Shahid met with the Deputy Prime Minister of Serbia, Zorana Mihajlovic. Both leaders discuss the climate crisis and the emergency to deal with it. They also discussed the role of youth to bring stability in the international arena. Abdulla Shahid acknowledged Serbia’s Officials for their wisdom and knowledge.
