Maldives extends warm greetings on Kuwait’s Liberation Day

Male, 27 February 2024 (TDI): The Maldives’ Minister of Foreign Affairs, Moosa Zameer, extended greetings to Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Emir of the State of Kuwait, and Sheikh Mohammad Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, Prime Minister of the State of Kuwait on Liberation Day.

Moreover, he extended warm felicitations and best wishes to the Government and people of Kuwait on Liberation Day and expressed confidence in the continued strengthening of the amicable ties between both nations.

Diplomatic Relations

Maldives’ Foreign Affairs Minister emphasized the deeply rooted religious, historical and cultural ties between Maldives and Kuwait. He expressed confidence in the continued flourishing of fraternal ties, friendship, and cooperation between the two nations.

Moreover, the Minister’s message reflected the enduring bond between the Maldives and Kuwait, grounded in shared values and history. “The Maldives and Kuwait continue to enjoy close relations rooted in Islamic, cultural and historical links, and most importantly, in our shared Islamic values,” he said.

Additionally, the Minister’s message underscored a commitment to enhancing diplomatic bonds and promoting mutual understanding between the Maldives and Kuwait. “I remain certain that the fraternal ties, friendship and cooperation between our two countries will continue to flourish in the years ahead,” he added.

The Maldives Foreign Minister expressed personal well-wishes and prayers for the health and well-being of Kuwait’s foreign minister.

Finally, the Minister seized the opportunity to extend sincere hopes for the continued progress and prosperity of Kuwait’s citizens. He expressed hopes “for the continued progress and prosperity of the brotherly people of Kuwait”. “Please accept, the assurances of my highest consideration”, the message concluded.

Furthermore, the President of UAE, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, also conveyed his congratulations to Sheikh Meshal Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, Emir of Kuwait, in honor of his nation’s National Day and Liberation Day.

Similarly, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, along with Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court, extended similar messages to both the Emir of Kuwait and the Prime Minister, Sheikh Dr. Mohammad Sabah Al Salem Al Sabah.
