Malaysian PM Anwar Ibrahim Arrives in Pakistan

Islamabad (TDI): Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar bin Ibrahim arrived in Islamabad on a three-day official visit on Wednesday.

Prime Minister Shehebz Sharif welcomed him at the Noor Khan Airbase. A 21-gun salute was presented at his arrival. Deputy PM Ishaq Dar, and other members of federal cabinet were also present to welcome the distinguished guest.

A high-level delegation, including ministers,deputy ministers and senior officials were accompanying the PM Anwar Ibrahim.

During the visit, PM Ibrahim will hold meetings with Pakistani leadership.

Talks on trade, connectivity, energy, agriculture, halal industry, tourism, cultural exchanges and people-to-people contacts are on agenda.

The two sides will discuss as how to further strengthen Pakistan-Malaysia relations and enhance their bilateral engagement in the diverse fields.

His meetings with Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and other leaders is scheduled. The two sides will also hold detail discussion on regional and global issues besides talks on the bilateral ties.
