Islamabad (TDI): Leading Pakistani actors Mahira Khan, Hania Aamir and Fawad Khan have strongly condemned India’s airstrikes on Pakistan, which led to the martyrdom of 26 civilians, including children, and left at least 46 others injured.
In a post on Instagram, Mahira Khan called the strikes “seriously cowardly” and prayed, “May Allah protect our country, may better sense prevail. Ameen.”
Actress Hania Aamir also criticized the Indian agression, saying, “You don’t bomb innocent people and call it strategy.”
Fawad Khan also spoke out, terming the Indian aggression “shameful” in an Instagram story. He said, “May better sense prevail. Inshaa Allah. Pakistan Zindabad.”
The backlash from Pakistan’s entertainment industry comes as India attempts to justify the airstrikes in the wake of Pahalgam attack in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) on April 22, despite offering no proof linking Pakistan to the incident.
Meanwhile, the DG ISPR said that 26 civilians were martyred and 46 others injured in overnight Indian airstrikes targeting multiple civilian areas across Pakistan.
