Libya and France discussed bilateral economic relations

Tripoli, 25 September 2021 (TDI): Suhail Abushiha, Libya’s Deputy Minister of Economy and Trade for Commercial Affairs, met with Béatrice le Fraper du Hellen, French Ambassador to Libya, who was accompanied by the embassy’s commercial attaché at the headquarters of Ministry, on Tuesday. The main agenda of the meeting was to discuss the activation of economic, commercial, and resumption of bilateral ties between the two countries.

The meeting explored methods to strengthen bilateral cooperation in trade and investment, banking services, and logistics. In further discussion, they also discussed the prospect of restarting air connectivity, which would help to ease business transactions between economic activities in both nations.

According to the Ministry, Suhail Abushiha, Deputy Minister of Libya, stated that France is one of Libya’s most significant commercial partners in the European Union.
