Islamabad, 24 August 2021 (TDI): In a meeting with businessmen Ambassador of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan to Pakistan, Ulanbek Totuiaev, said that Kyrgyzstan is willing to invest and partner in CPEC projects in Pakistan. He was talking to businessmen from the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce (ICCI).
The Ambassador emphasized the willingness of his country to invest in the Special Economic Zones (SEZs) under the umbrella of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and said that regional development and security are interlinked to the economy and trade of the region.
The Kyrgyz government has aimed to focus on economic relations with regional states, including Pakistan. In this regard, some representatives from Kyrgyzstan are expected to visit Islamabad in September to discuss business-to-business (B2B) relations and promote investment in agriculture, energy, minerals, and mining.
Ambassador Ulanbek mentioned that the Kyrgyz government is hopeful for peace in Afghanistan. He further added that Kyrgyzstan, like other states of the region, believes that the prosperity of the region is also associated with Afghanistan’s peace and socio-political stability.
