Bishkek (TDI): Kyrgyzstan has embarked on its first venture into the helicopter manufacturing sector.
According to Daiyrbek Orunbekov, Head of the Information Policy Service of the Kyrgyz Presidential Administration, the country has started producing ultralight, small-size two-seat helicopters.
Orunbekov detailed that these helicopters, which can accommodate two passengers, feature a 70-liter fuel capacity and have a flight range of 600 kilometers with a three-hour duration.
The starting price for these helicopters is approximately $60,000.
Additionally, the Kyrgyz government is preparing to launch automobile, helicopter, and other manufacturing plants in the near future.
This marks Kyrgyzstan’s entry into the market with helicopters assembled from components supplied by Poland.
These versatile aircraft are suited for a variety of functions, including pilot training, aerial photography, police surveillance, power line inspections, medical transport, and agricultural tasks.
Orunbekov noted that test models have already attracted interest from companies in the UAE.

Meanwhile, the German firm Linding Group is set to invest around $10 million in aircraft assembly operations in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
