Bishkek, 20 May 2022 (TDI): Congratulatory messages were exchanged between the Foreign Ministers of the Kyrgyzstan, Jeenbek Kulubaev, and the Republic of Bulgaria, Teodora Genchovska, on the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties.
The Foreign Minister of Kyrgyzstan stated that “I extend my heartfelt greetings on the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between Kyrgyzstan and Bulgaria.”

In addition to this, he reaffirmed that they have been able to set a solid platform for creating a political discourse between the nations, increasing mutually beneficial trade, economic, and cultural cooperation.
“Throughout the previous years, collaboration has strengthened bilateral relations. In conclusion, he stated that without any doubt, Kyrgyzstan and Bulgaria have a large yet untapped potential for collaboration that can be fulfilled by concerted efforts from both sides.”
The Foreign Minister of Bulgaria, Teodora Genchovska, on the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties, expressed her warm congratulations to the Kyrgyz Republic.
Further, she stated that “their Ministries’ exchange will continue to grow and contribute to the beneficial partnership of Bulgarian-Kyrgyz ties and the development of our two peoples.”
In May 2020, a videoconference took between both states in which bilateral cooperation themes discussed were to deepen the two countries’ political dialogue and economic collaboration.
In addition to this, thoughts were exchanged about strengthening commercial ties and establishing joint ventures between Kyrgyzstan and Bulgaria, and using Bulgaria as a transit nation for Kyrgyzstan to get access to the EU market.”
The discussion included deliberation on consular cooperation and reciprocal support for international organization candidacies as well as collaboration in the fields of culture and education, youth, and sports also took place during the meetings.
