Dubai, 10 December 2021 (TDI): Since the opening day of Dubai Expo 2020, the Kuwaiti pavilion has been drawing attention to its 3 main areas: the Spring of life, the Envelope, and the Kuwaiti cuisine.

Currently, the National Council for Culture, Arts, and Letters of Kuwait (NCCAL) hosts two children’s workshops in the pavilion. The Kuwait Pavilion has organized two workshops for children to strengthen their communication and integration skills.

Kuwaiti writer Amal Al-Randi presented the first workshop titled “How to Write a Story.” According to Al-Randi, stories are incredible tools to “enhance children’s ability to create, listen and respond to stimuli.”

On the other hand, the second workshop, led by Kuwaiti artist Sharefah Al-Zamani, deals with arts and crafts. Regarding his workshop, Al-Zamani said that schoolchildren can participate as they would learn to color and make crafts. It would last 5 days and its objective is to enhance children’s mental and motor skills.

Kuwait’s participation at Dubai Expo 2020

Dubai Expo 2020 is the largest global event in the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia (MEASA) region. It welcomed 190 countries to present their culture, tradition, and innovation projects.

During 182 days, the Dubai event will host more than 25 million people. Therefore, Kuwait is not lagging and directs its presentation on sustainability and new opportunities. That is why the “Spring of Life” architecture is inspired by Kuwait’s perspective on sustainability.

Also, the “Envelope” reflects sunlight to embody the nature and energy of Kuwait. Lastly, authentic Kuwaiti dishes represent Kuwaiti culture with flavors, aromas, and spices.

Kuwait’s experience at the pavilion is a mixture of far-reaching visions for a resilient and innovative country’s future. During their visit, the attendees can interact within the exhibition by discovering the Kuwaiti culture of music and poetry.

In this way, Kuwait’s National Council for Culture, Arts, and Letters will continue preparing cultural activities at Dubai Expo 2020 because they will lead 25 in total. All of these will represent Kuwait’s identity and folklore.
