Beirut, 2 June 2022 (TDI): Ambassador and Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Organization Affairs of Kuwait, Abdulaziz Al-Jarallah, along with his team members visited the United Nations House in Beirut.
The main agenda was for strengthening bilateral relations. Also, the highlight of the visit was to discuss the relationship of Kuwait’s administration with the United Nations and its role in supporting the national development plan for SDG.

Effective role of Kuwait as a member state of the UN
The General Assembly, at its Fourth Special Session, in its 1203rd plenary meeting on 14th May 1963, adopted resolution 1872 were admitting the State of Kuwait to membership in the United Nations.
As a result, the State of Kuwait became the 111th member state of the United Nations. Since its membership in the United Nations, Kuwait has made significant contributions to the work of the United Nations.
It has been an active partner, working closely to promote the noble principles and purposes of the United Nations Charter.
The Permanent Mission of Kuwait to the United Nations has been responsible for carrying out the country’s participation in the United Nations.
Coordination with the UN
The Government of Kuwait and the United Nations are committed to working together with local communities, the private sector, academia, the civil society, through south-south cooperation and international partnerships.
The main focus is to achieve the expected results from this Strategic Cooperation Framework (SCF) for the period 2020-2025.
The SCF describes the planned cooperation results and strategies supported by the UN system and how they will contribute to national development priorities.

These include the pillars established in Kuwait Vision 2035, the Kuwait National Development Plan (KNDP), related Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and the country’s human rights commitments and other internationally agreed development goals and treaty obligations to which the Amir of the State of Kuwait has committed in statements to the General Assembly.
