Islamabad, 21 August 2023 (TDI): Dr Tawfiq Bin Fawzan Al Rabiah, the Minister of Hajj & Umrah of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, had a meeting with the interim Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar today.

The Saudi Minister is heading a delegation comprising representatives from various Saudi governmental bodies including the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Interior, Civil Aviation Authority, Communication, Tourism, and more.

The delegation received a warm welcome from the Prime Minister, who conveyed his contentment with the favourable course of bilateral relations with the Kingdom.

He acknowledged the vision of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman and affirmed that Pakistan would consistently remain a reliable ally of Saudi Arabia.

The Prime Minister also expressed gratitude to the Saudi leadership for their exceptional preparations for pilgrims from around the world during this year’s Hajj season, especially for Pakistani pilgrims.

He also expressed hope that Pakistani Hajj and Umrah pilgrims would continue to receive special treatment from the Saudi side.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister expressed gratitude to Saudi Arabia for its keen attention to investment prospects in Pakistan under the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) during the first-ever visit of the Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah to Pakistan.

The Saudi Minister conveyed his appreciation to the Prime Minister for the generous hospitality provided to him and his delegation, affirming that Saudi Arabia is committed to offering every feasible assistance to Pakistani pilgrims.

He mentioned that apart from religious visits, the delegation would also make efforts to promote Saudi tourism to Pakistan.
