Astana (TDI): Kazakhstan has emerged as the leading nation in Central Asia, securing the 74th position in the 2024 Global Knowledge Index, a study conducted by the United Nations Development Program in collaboration with the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation.
The index evaluates seven key indicators, focusing on the education, information and communication technology, and economic sectors of the countries assessed.
Uzbekistan follows closely behind, placed 78th overall and ranking 14th out of 28 nations categorized as having high human development.
Kyrgyzstan, which exhibits a moderate knowledge infrastructure, ranks 84th in the index, falling into the medium category of knowledge infrastructure.

It stands 5th out of 25 countries classified under medium human development.
Tajikistan recorded the lowest score in the region, finishing at 111th place with 36.1 points among the 133 countries surveyed.
