The Day of the Diplomatic Service, which is celebrated as an official professional holiday in Kazakhstan every year in July, began in 2009 by President Nursultan Nazarbayev in commemoration of the approval of the provisions regarding Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Embassies and the responsibilities of its Ambassadors on the same day in 1992. This marked the beginning of Kazakhstan’s diplomatic services.

Therefore, the Republic celebrates this day every year to recall the efforts of the veterans in establishing the country’s stronghold in the world community and to encourage the young diplomats to play their part in developing the country’s role on the world stage.
