Kazakh and Uzbek Presidents hold Phone Call

Nur Sultan, 26 October 2021 (TDI): Kazakh President, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a telephonic conversation with Uzbek President, Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev warmly congratulated Shavkat Mirziyoyev on his re-election as President of Uzbekistan. He stressed that the convincing victory of the Uzbek leader in the election once again demonstrated strong popular support for his strategic course.

Moreover, the Head of State noted Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s significant personal contribution to strengthening the ties of Nur Sultan and Tashkent. The two leaders reaffirmed their readiness to continue active joint work. They hoped to continue the strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. This partnership will strengthen the atmosphere of trust in Central Asia.

To give a practical impetus to Kazakh-Uzbek relations, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev invited Shavkat Mirziyoyev to pay a state visit to Kazakhstan. These high level contacts will help to elevate bilateral relations between two states.
