Islamabad, 17 September 2021 (TDI): Yerzhan Kistafin, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Pakistan, visited the Pakistan Institute of Development Economics (PIDE), where he met Dr. Nadeem ul Haque, Vice-Chancellor of the Institute. Also, held a meeting with Ali Raza Bhutta, Federal Secretary of the Power Division of Pakistan.
Vice-Chancellor and Ambassador expressed interest in establishing cooperation with think tanks, research institutes, and educational institutions from Kazakhstan. Moreover, Vice-Chancellor invited Ambassador to attend the coming conference on “Opportunities to Excel: Now and Future.”
Federal Secretary and Ambassador stressed the need to hold high-level contacts among officials of Power Ministries between Kazakhstan and Pakistan. Federal Secretary expressed interest in establishing direct links with Kazakhstan in the supply of various energy resources.
These meetings will help elevate bilateral relations between Kazakhstan and Pakistan. Also, strengthening existing relations in areas of mutual interests i.e. trade, energy, raw materials, security, and tourism.
