Addis Ababa, 04 September 2021 (TDI): Fitsum Arega, Ethiopian Ambassador to the USA, issued a statement on Karen Bass, a representative of the 37th District of California.
Congresswoman Karen Bass said that the ongoing crisis caused by the Tigray People’s Liberation Front has plunged the entire country into a humanitarian crisis. These devastating situations have killed hundreds and thousands of people and severely shaken the Ethiopian economy.
Representative Karen Bass also said the TPLF should allow food for the wretched peoples of Ethiopia. He further added that the international community must pay attention to a peaceful solution to the problem. Karen Bass suggested that opposing groups should discuss a solution to the conflict so that we can protect the lives of many Ethiopians and prevent the damage and loss suffered by the vulnerable people of Ethiopia.
