ISLAMABAD, (TDI): Renowned journalist Engr. Asghar Hayat has been awarded the prestigious Heroes Award by the Youth Association of Pakistan.
The award recognizes Hayat’s significant contributions to journalism, particularly in highlighting environmental and social issues.
Engr. Asghar Hayat, who has 12 years of experience in journalism, has covered a wide range of topics including climate change, information technology, science and technology, parliament, and social issues. He is also the General Secretary of the Environmental Journalists Forum.

The Heroes Award ceremony was held in Islamabad, where Hayat was presented with the award by Abdul Qadir, President of the Youth Association of Pakistan, and Faizullah Faraq, Spokesperson for the Gilgit-Baltistan government.
Asghar Hayat, who is also the President of the Kashmir Gilgit-Baltistan Reporters, has been instrumental in highlighting the Kashmir issue. He has also worked with various national newspapers and private TV channels.

Engr. Asghar Hayat dedicated his award to his elder brother, Hassan Hayat, a senior producer at Pakistan Television. He also expressed his gratitude to everyone who has supported him throughout his journalistic career.
