Amman, 27 November 2021 (TDI): The Ministry of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs of Jordan, sent condolences to the State of Russia on the coal mine accident in the Kemerovo district. The Foreign Ministry of Jordan shared a heartful message on Twitter and conveyed its sympathy for the government of Russia and the people of Russia.

The mining incident in Russia happened in the Siberian local mine, on Thursday, 25 November 2021. The blast occurred due to the coal dust catching fire resulting in an explosion. The heart-wrenching incident resulted in more than 50 deaths which also includes 5 rescue workers.
Due to the explosion, about 300 people were trapped in the mine. The rescue operation faced huge challenges and it also got suspended due to the high concentration of methane. The reports stated that the deaths in the mine occurred due to unavailability of the oxygen and due to the poisonous methane gas. Since 2010, this blast in Siberian mine is believed to be the deadliest.
The concerned regional officials announced 3-days of mourning. An investigative committee is launched to investigate the explosion in the mine. The director of the mine was detained for the investigation.
The Jordanian Foreign Ministry conveyed its condolences for the painful incident in its friendly country. The two countries enjoy close relations. The diplomatic relations between the two states were established in 1963. Russia is helping Jordan in its economic development. It is also planning to facilitate Jordan in innovations and to fabricate a foundation. Russia wants to become an important actor in Middle-East Affairs. Therefore, it put huge importance on its relations with Jordan.
