Italian athlete wins gold medal in Paralympics


Tokyo, 28 August 2021 (TDI): Bebe Vio, an Italian athlete won the gold medal in Paralympic Wheelchair fencing by beating China’s Jingjing Zhou by 15-9 in the final match. She remarkably defended her title against the same opponent in Rio 2016 as well. China’s Jingjing Zhou won the silver medal.

The 24-year-old athlete captured worldwide attention with her incredible performance at Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020 Paralympic games.
