Tehran (TDI): Iran reported on Saturday that its air defense systems successfully countered Israeli airstrikes, though some sites sustained “limited damage.”
The strikes reportedly targeted military installations across the provinces of Tehran, Khuzestan, and Ilam, according to an Iranian defense statement.
In a simultaneous announcement, the Israeli military confirmed the conclusion of its operation, which it stated focused on Iranian missile production sites, surface-to-air missile systems, and other aerial assets.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) highlighted that the targeted sites were linked to recent missile launches against Israel.

“Intelligence led to the targeting of missile production facilities used by Iran to launch attacks on Israel over the past year,” the Israeli Air Force (IAF) explained.
The IDF added that the airstrikes aimed to dismantle Iranian aerial defenses intended to restrict Israel’s operational air freedom.

Following the operation, the IDF reported that its aircraft had returned safely, signaling the mission’s successful completion.
