Gaza (TDI): Israel has declared it will allow a limited amount of food supplies to enter the Gaza Strip while launching a more intense ground offensive against the Palestinian enclave.
This announcement comes amid growing international pressure and concerns over an escalating humanitarian crisis.
Benjamin Netanyahu stated that the decision to permit some food aid was influenced by appeals from Israel’s allies.
In a video address, Netanyahu emphasized that the country’s closest friends urged action to prevent “images of mass hunger” in Gaza, which they could not tolerate. Although the amount of aid will be minimal, it aims to prevent a full-scale hunger crisis.
The Israeli military began extensive ground operations targeting Gaza last week, which have reportedly resulted in the deaths of more than 150 people in just 24 hours.

Netanyahu said the objective of the offensive remains to take full control of the Gaza Strip, despite ongoing discussions for a possible truce and captives’ release talks in Doha, Qatar.
UN officials confirmed that discussions with Israel are ongoing to organize the delivery of limited aid, though no clear timetable has been set. Palestinian authorities in Gaza have not yet been informed about when the border crossing will reopen for aid deliveries.
The situation in Gaza remains dire, with the territory facing a severe blockade for over two months, causing shortages of food, medicine, and basic necessities.
Gaza’s Ministry of Health reports that in the last week alone, at least 464 Palestinians have been killed, many of whom are women and children.

Hospitals have been targeted, with reports of damage to critical care units and medical staff trapped inside.
Despite the ongoing blockade and military actions, indirect talks between Israel and Hamas have yet to yield progress toward a ceasefire or resolution. Netanyahu reiterated that Israel is prepared to maintain its military efforts until it fully controls the Gaza Strip.
As the conflict continues, the international community watches closely, urging all parties to prevent further humanitarian suffering and seek peaceful solutions.
