WASHINGTON 28 August 2024 (TDI): A recent report by Israel Hayom has disclosed the extensive scale of U.S. military support to Israel since the onset of the Israeli-imposed war on Gaza, which has resulted in the deaths of 40,473 Palestinians, predominantly women and children.
The report reveals that the U.S. has been supplying a wide array of weapons and equipment to Israel through a continuous air and sea operation.
Since the start of the Israeli military campaign against Gaza, over 50,000 tons of military gear have been delivered via 500 flights and 107 sea shipments. This aid includes armored vehicles, ammunition, personal protective gear, and medical supplies. The Israeli Ministry of Defense marked the significance of this operation by noting the landing of the 500th flight in Israel over the weekend.
Additionally, the U.S. has recently approved a major arms deal for Israel that includes advanced F-15EX fighter jets, which are among the most sophisticated in the world. Military correspondent Avi Ashkenazi reported in Maariv that these jets are expected to bolster the Israeli Air Force’s dominance in the region.

This substantial support continues amid ongoing Israeli bombardments of Gaza and other regional conflicts, raising concerns of further escalation. In June, Israel finalized a deal to acquire 25 F-35 fighter jets from the U.S. for $3 billion. Furthermore, in April, President Joe Biden authorized a significant $26.4 billion aid package for Israel, with $14 billion designated specifically for military assistance.
A March report by the Washington Post highlighted that the U.S. has approved over 100 arms sales to Israel since the Gaza offensive began, including thousands of precision-guided munitions, bunker-busting bombs, and other forms of lethal aid.
