Israel Attack On Gaza School Kills Over 100

Gaza, 10 August 2024 (TDI): Palestinian official claimed that Israeli attacks targeted homeless people in Gaza who were praying at dawn (Fajr).

The Israeli army claimed to have struck a Hamas command center, but the official Palestinian news agency said on Saturday that more than 100 Palestinians had been killed and many injured in an Israeli raid on a Gaza school that was providing shelter to displaced families.

The displaced individuals were the target of Israeli attacks during Fajr (dawn) prayer, which caused a sharp rise in casualties, according to a statement from the Gaza government media office, which is managed by Hamas.

The Israeli army claimed in a statement that the “command and control center served as a hideout for Hamas terrorists and commanders and that this was the reason why its air forces struck it.”

The IAF hit Hamas terrorists precisely when they were operating out of a Hamas command and control center that was incorporated inside the Al-Taba’een school and was next to a mosque in Daraj Tuffah, which provides shelter for Gaza City’s people.

“The placement of accurate weapons, aerial observation, and intelligence data were among the many measures taken prior to the operation to reduce the possibility of causing harm to people,” it continued.

Since October 7, 2018, Israel has been waging a bloody war against Gaza in response to a cross-border attack by the Palestinian organization Hamas.

Based on information from local health officials, since then, over 40,000 Palestinians—mostly women and children—have died and over 91,700 have been injured.
