Karachi (TDI): In a significant step towards enhancing access to justice for marginalized communities, Ismail Global has joined hands with the Legal Aid Society (LAS) to provide pro-bono legal assistance to survivors of Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV).

The partnership aims to address pressing issues such as domestic violence, harassment, child marriage, and other human rights violations affecting women, transgender persons, and persons with disabilities.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was formally signed at a ceremony held at the Legal Aid Society’s office.

The agreement was endorsed by Hamid Ismail, CEO of Ismail Global, and Barrister Haya Zahid, CEO of LAS, in the presence of senior representatives from both organizations.

Expressing his commitment to supporting survivors of gender-based violence, Ismail said, “We believe in making a tangible impact by ensuring that survivors have access to justice and legal support. This partnership is part of our broader strategy to promote corporate social responsibility and uplift the most vulnerable members of our society.”

Barrister Haya Zahid highlighted the significance of the partnership, describing it as a major step towards closing the justice gap for survivors.

“With the support of Ismail Global, we can expand our reach and ensure that survivors receive the legal aid they deserve, while also working to drive systemic change in favor of gender equality and human rights,” she remarked.
