Islamabad (TDI): – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has intensified diplomatic efforts amid growing regional concerns over the situation in Gaza. In discussions with his counterparts from Türkiye, Iran, and Egypt, he reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering support for the Palestinian people and rejected any proposals for their forced displacement.
In a conversation with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Dar emphasized the urgent need for collective action against Israel’s continued aggression. Both ministers agreed on the importance of convening an Extraordinary OIC Ministerial meeting to discuss the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and push for an immediate ceasefire.

Speaking with Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty, Dar reiterated Pakistan’s solidarity with Egypt’s role in managing the humanitarian fallout from the conflict.
He acknowledged Egypt’s critical role in facilitating aid to Gaza and expressed concern over the worsening conditions affecting millions of Palestinians. Both leaders agreed to coordinate efforts for international intervention.

In a separate call with Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, Dar condemned any attempts to displace Palestinians, calling them deeply troubling and unjust. He reiterated Pakistan’s firm stance on a two-state solution in line with UN Security Council resolutions and expressed support for convening an OIC meeting to deliberate on the crisis.

The discussions follow escalating tensions after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s remarks suggesting Palestinian resettlement outside their homeland. Pakistan strongly rejected these comments, calling them irresponsible and provocative. Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, and the GCC have also condemned the statements, reaffirming their support for Palestinian sovereignty.

Meanwhile, concerns have deepened following reports of U.S. President Donald Trump’s proposal for Washington to “take over Gaza” after the conflict.
Arab states have dismissed the suggestion, reiterating that any resolution must uphold Palestinian rights and ensure their self-determination.
Gaza continues to face relentless bombardment, with over 47,000 Palestinians killed, according to local authorities.
The humanitarian crisis has prompted urgent international calls for de-escalation and a renewed commitment to a peaceful resolution.
