Islamabad, 7 November 2021 (TDI): The Current Economic Situation in Pakistan is complicated. But the situation is not worse than other countries (e.g., Taiwan in the late 1950s, or Korea in the early 1960s, or Indonesia or Singapore in the late 1960s). At a time when they were successful. A clear policy framework is necessary for international economic relations in Pakistan.
Economic Growth: Pakistan
Pakistan’s economic growth remained positive. The year when many other Asian countries recorded negative growth. Inflation did not grow much, as many external forecasts expected. Pakistan’s economy recovered during the 2021 financial year. In part because of the government’s efficient use of roads aimed at managing the spread of COVID and allowing economic activity to flourish.
Pakistan has to increase its independent investment and export more, to sustain economic growth. In examining the country’s ongoing trade imbalances. The barriers to export, high effective import tariffs, limited availability of long-term firms to increase export capacity, and inadequate supply in the market.
Significance of Economics Campaign
I argued that there will be significant economic benefits from the deep regional integration policy if it is proven to be politically possible. And that such an economic campaign could also improve opportunities for political cooperation.
The second major trade policy, if regional cooperation seems impossible. And could be close to free trade, which would end the anti-export discrimination.
Any option could help make Pakistan an attractive export destination. Which could help attract FDI, especially to Pakistani foreign nationals. Finally, I argued that Pakistan needs to achieve significant and continuous improvement.
In its current account to free itself from relying on short-term inflation. And that, when foreign currency seeks to enter, it will be important to ensure the revenue is stable to reduce future risk. I see no reason why Pakistan’s progress over the next half-century will not be as impressive as it was during its first 50 years.
