Tehran 03 Sep 2024 (TDI): The trade volume between Iraq and Iran surpassed 10 billion US dollars said Iraqi Ambassador to Iran Nasser Abdul Mohsen Abdullah.
He said this during a meeting with the governor of Semnan province in Iran.
He said that the trade between the two court would further increase up to $20 billion. He also showed interest to establish joint industrial companies with Semnan province.
Abbdullah further said that the joint economic collaboration will help in bosting the economic development in both the countries and expressed interest in different sectors including mining, agriculture and industry.
The Iraqi diplomat noted that more than 1,200 Iraqi students are studying in Iranian universities, and noted that one of the main points that attracts Iraqi students to the Higher University in the province is Semnan, close to Tehran, Iran.

Abdullah added that the people of Iraq and Iran have wide range of religious and culture similarities.
