Pakistan and Iran have historically extended support to each other during times of natural calamity. Tehran had previously dispatched aid following Pakistan’s devastating floods in 2010, while Islamabad has offered assistance to Iran in the aftermath of earthquakes.
Officials said Pakistan welcomed international cooperation to strengthen relief and rehabilitation efforts, stressing that regional solidarity was critical in facing the growing challenges posed by climate change.
