Iranian Minister Praises Turkmenistan’s Commitment to Peace and Child Welfare

Arkadag (TDI): The Minister of Roads and Urban Development of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Farzaneh Sadeghi Malvajerd, participated in the Arkadag International Conference on “The Year of Peace and Trust: Developing International Activities for the Sake of Children.”

She applauded Turkmenistan’s efforts to ensure social protection for children who have found themselves in difficult life situations, their adaptation to society, and preparing them for self-dependent life.

The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Turkmenistan, Ali Mojtaba Rouzbehani, and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Ahmet Gurbanov welcomed Farzaneh Sadeghi Malvajerd in Turkmenistan.

During the event, Minister Farzaneh Sadeghi Malvajerd met with Oguljahan Atabayeva, the Vice President for Medical Activities of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship.

Minister Farzaneh also highlighted the cultural and humanitarian cooperation between Iran and Turkmenistan and noted that the people of both countries are united by common history, culture, and religion.

Moreover, she emphasized the need to enhance international cooperation to create viable socio-economic conditions to meet children’s needs through the use of inclusive educational opportunities.

Emphasizing the mutual areas of cooperation between Iran and Turkmenistan, the Minister said that the cultural and humanitarian spheres are key areas of cooperation between the two neighbors.

She also praised the efforts of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship and noted that it is a testament to the worthy continuation of noble principles into a new historical era.

She also highlighted the significance of the Foundation’s work, which has been carried out at both national and international levels and its impact in strengthening humanitarian cooperation in the region and beyond.

The Vice President for Medical Activities of the Foundation, Oguljahan Atabayeva, appreciated the Iranian Minister’s comments and noted that the relationship between Turkmenistan and Iran has been based on mutual cooperation.

In the end, Minister Farzaneh expressed heartfelt appreciation and gratitude for the opportunity to visit Turkmenistan and be a part of this International Conference.
