Iran Denies Ceasefire Breach, Israel Orders Fresh Strikes

Tehran (TDI): Iran has strongly denied accusations from Israel that it breached the recently announced ceasefire by launching missile attacks, calling the reports baseless and politically motivated.

Iranian state media dismissed the claims, insisting Tehran remains committed to the truce. “Iran denies reports that it fired a missile at Israel after the ceasefire began,” state broadcaster IRIB reported, echoing statements made across Iranian media.

The semi-official ISNA news agency took a similar line, stating via its Telegram channel: “The news that Iran fired missiles at the occupied territories after imposing a ceasefire on the Zionist regime is denied.”

Nour News, affiliated with Iran’s security establishment, also reinforced that Tehran has not taken any action to break the ceasefire.

The denials came shortly after Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant ordered a new round of military strikes in response to what the Israeli military described as a missile fired from Iran in the early hours of Tuesday.

Air raid sirens sounded in northern Israel shortly after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had publicly accepted a ceasefire proposal put forward by US President Donald Trump.

According to Israeli media, one ballistic missile was fired and intercepted before impact. No damage or injuries were reported.

In response to the launch, Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich warned on social media, “Tehran will tremble,” signaling a potentially wider retaliation if further attacks occur.

Despite Israeli claims, Iran stood firm in its denial. Multiple Iranian outlets reaffirmed that no missile launches occurred after the ceasefire took effect.

Meanwhile, Iran’s Supreme National Security Council confirmed that the country had, in fact, agreed to a ceasefire, describing it as a “national-level decision” aimed at ending hostilities. The council said the military had already delivered a “decisive and humiliating response” to earlier attacks on Iranian territory, citing retaliatory strikes on Israel and the US base in Qatar.

Tehran said its response was both proportional and successful in deterring further aggression, asserting that its actions had forced Israel to “regret and retreat.”
