In the latest reports, Iranian officials, including Foreign Ministry Spokesman Nasser Kanaani and Minister of Foreign Affairs Hossein Amirabdollahian, have strongly condemned the US and UK airstrikes in the Middle East and on various cities and areas in Yemen overnight.
Iran warns against ongoing military assaults
Following the US and UK’s military assaults, Nasser Kanaani characterized the attacks as a continued violation of Yemen’s sovereignty and a serious breach of international laws by the US and the UK.
He added, “Perpetuating such arbitrary moves would amount to blatant adventurism and pose a worrying threat to international peace and security.”
Furthermore, “the military adventurism of the US and UK, evident in their strikes on regional countries, follows a flawed approach of resorting to militarism to advance illegitimate objectives in the region.”
“This starkly contrasts with the repeated claims of Washington and London that they do not wish to see war and conflict spread in the region,” stated the Iranian spokesperson, Nasser Kanaani.
