Tehran (TDI): Iran has condemned the terrorist attack at Darul Uloom Haqqania seminary in Akora Khattak, Nowshera, which resulted in the tragic loss of lives and left several worshippers injured during Friday prayers.
Esmail Baqaei, spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, expressed deep sorrow over the incident, extending genuine sympathy to the families of the victims, the government of Pakistan, and its people.
He also wished a swift recovery for those injured in the attack.
The statement underlined Iran’s firm commitment to combating terrorism in all its forms and stressed the nation’s principled stance against violent extremism.

Furthermore, Baqaei said that such acts of terror are not only an offense to humanity but also a grave violation of the sanctity of religious spaces, which are meant to be havens of peace and reflection.
The attack, which claimed the lives of at least six individuals, including prominent JUI-S leader Maulana Hamidul Haq Haqqani, and injured 15 others, has sent shockwaves through the region.

The Darul Uloom Haqqania seminary, where the blast happened, is a well-known institution in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Nowshera district.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry’s statement pointed out the need for collective action to address the root causes of such violence and to ensure that such tragedies are not repeated.

Baqaei said that the fight against terrorism requires a unified and coordinated approach among all nations in the region.
