Iran Condemns Israeli Attacks on Gaza

Tehran (TDI): Iran has strongly condemned the latest wave of attacks by Israel against the defenseless people of Gaza.

In a statement, Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Esmail Baqaei also condemned the massacre of hundreds of Palestinian civilians, including innocent women and children.

He said that, “these actions are being carried out alongside the continued blockade of food and medicine in the enclave and with the approval of the United States.”

Esmail Baqaei described these attacks as a continuation of the genocide and ethnic cleansing in occupied Palestine, emphasizing the direct responsibility of the US government for the crimes committed by the Zionist government.

He further highlighted the responsibility of all governments and the United Nations to put an end to the genocide and crimes against humanity in Gaza.

Baqaei warned that doing nothing while the Zionist regime openly breaks international laws—with full support from the US, the UK, and some other Western countries—weakens the rules set by the UN and threatens global peace and security.

A few days back, nine Palestinians were killed in an Israeli airstrike on Gaza’s northern Beit Lahiya town, as Hamas’ leaders hold Gaza ceasefire negotiations with mediators in Cairo.

Several were critically wounded as the strike hit a car, with casualties inside and outside the vehicle.

Moreover, Baqaei highlighted the crucial responsibility of the Muslim states to prevent the continuation of massacres and genocide in occupied Palestine.

Baqaei urged the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to take quick steps to help the oppressed and needy people of Palestine.

He called for the prosecution of Israeli leaders responsible for genocide at the International Criminal Court (ICC), the enforcement of International Court of Justice rulings, and a complete stop to arms supplies and financial support for the occupying regime.
