Islamabad (TDI): Ismail Baghai, spokesperson for Iran’s Foreign Ministry, denounced the March 10 terrorist attack by the BLA, which took nearly 450 passengers hostage on the Jaffar Express in Bolan, Balochistan.
The spokesperson expressed deep concern over the security situation in Pakistan and extended sympathy to the government of Pakistan.
Ismail Baghai strongly condemns the terrorist attack on train passengers in Balochistan, where innocent civilians, including children, women, and the elderly, were taken hostage.
He added that targeting civilians and disrupting critical transportation systems is a cowardly crime against humanity.
He ensured Iran’s readiness to help Pakistan address the security threat posed by the armed militants to promote stability in the region.

BLA fired at the Jaffar Express train as it traveled from Quetta to Peshawar. At least 16 militants have been killed and 104 passengers rescued by the security personnel.
The militants issued a 48-hour ultimatum, threatening to kill hostages unless authorities released Baloch political prisoners.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praises the security forces for rescuing the hostages and pushing back the terrorists towards a retreat with their “timely action and bravery.”.
He ensured that he would “bring the cowardly terrorists to their end.”.
The Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), a militant organization operating in Pakistan’s Balochistan province, which also borders Iran, has been a source of regional instability due to its cross-border terrorist activities.
