Beijing/Tehran, 8 September 2021 (TDI): The scientific origin-tracing of COVID-19 is a cornerstone of China’s foreign policy. China also has a clear stance on this issue; China believes that origin investigation is a scientific issue and strongly opposes the politicization of the virus. Among many other states, Iran is one country that stands with China on this matter.Â
On Monday, the spokesperson for the Foreign Affairs Ministry of Iran, Saeed Khatibzadeh, clearly said that Iran rejects the interference of politics in the origin-tracing of COVID-19. He called the politicization of investigation on the pandemic’s origin a dangerous matter. Saeed Khatibzadeh also emphasized on equal distribution of COVID-19 vaccines.
