Karachi, 16 November 2021 (TDI): Consul General of Indonesia, Dr. June Kuncoro Hadiningrat visited the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
In the official visit, the Consul General of Indonesia emphasized increasing trade volume between the two countries. He also discussed cooperation possibilities during the conversation.
In the meeting, the two sides deliberated on ways to enhance the trade cooperation between the two countries. Indonesian counterpart suggested establishing a strong linkage between the business communities of the two countries. Indonesian Counterpart showed great interest in collaborating with Pakistan in the Information Technology sector.
The two sides also discussed ways to facilitate trade and to remove barriers; to increase the bilateral trade volume. They discussed the possibility of materializing a free trade agreement between the two countries.
Establishing a free trade zone will help the enterprises of the two countries to trade with ease. It will facilitate trade due to minimum to zero tariffs and taxes.
Dr. June Kuncoro Hadiningrat expressed that the materialization of the Free Trade Agreement would be beneficial for both countries. He added that it will certainly be a good initiative.
