Lahore, 9 December 2022 (TDI): Ambassador of Indonesia to Pakistan, Adam M. Tugio inaugurated the Indonesia desk at the Lahore Chambers of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) during his visit.

Ambassador said the Indonesia Desk will help especially the business communities in Punjab by providing catalog information on commercial expos on various industries.
This desk will serve as a gateway for trade and investment in Indonesia and will provide a list of potential trading partners to increase and diversify mutual trade between Pakistan and Indonesia, the Indonesian Envoy stated.
He appreciated the business community of Pakistan and the Punjab government for promoting Pakistan-Indonesia bilateral ties.
Ambassador paid warm compliments to all friends of Indonesia for keeping the high momentum of mutual collaboration for positive economic developments.
Ambassador M. Tugio was addressing a large number of prominent business persons at a reception hosted by Indonesia’s Embassy in Lahore.
Moreover, he said that 2022 remained quite successful in maintaining productive interactions including the establishment of the Indonesia Desk at LCCI and the ASEAN Trade Desk at the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCl) and Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI).
Ambassador emphasized the importance of establishing the desk to boost commercial ties and it can provide relevant information to Pakistani businessmen about ASEAN and Indonesian trade and investment scenarios.
Furthermore, Ambassador highlighted the importance of connectivity and urged Pakistani companies to explore more promising fields to reinforce bilateral cooperation between Pakistan and Indonesia such as herbal traditional medicines, spice trade, financial and service sector start-ups, travel and tourism, E-commerce, halal food industry, science and Technology, and IT sector.
Besides that, the Indonesia Envoy presented the prestigious “Primaduta Award” and certificate of appreciation on the behalf of the government of Indonesia to the best-selected importers based on their performances in the trade sector with Indonesia.
Matto Sons, represented by the CEO, Ali Tariq won the award for best business performance from Pakistan in 2022.
Primaduta Award is a form of appreciation for foreign companies that have imported Indonesian products and have their valuable contribution to the commercial sector in Indonesia.
During a visit to LCCI, Ambassador Tugio extended congratulations to the newly appointed LCCI President, Kashif Anwar, and the executive committee on assuming the charge. He thanked the support and facilitation provided by the chamber.
